I’ve only ever thought about knitting needles in terms of their metric sizes, so I get lost as soon as UK or US sizes are mentioned in a pattern. I don’t plan on memorizing the different sizes, but now I know exactly where to go for a reference table – right here!

    Thanks Jen. Can you tell me again please, how to measure when you are at the end of a ball of yarn,how to measure how far the last of the yarn will go ?

      Good question! I’ll put together a table of how to estimate how much you need for a cast on, cast off and full row. I’ll try to get this out next week.
