We are moving house in two weeks. We didn’t plan to move but the owner of the house we rent wants it back (how dare they?)
So the kitty, then man, me and my stash are all moving to Ballan. We pick up the keys to the new place this Saturday and then start moving the following Friday. I hate moving house.
I’ve packed up my yarn, half my wardrobe and my record player but a lot of the boxes you see below are yarn.
All except two of the coloured boxes are commercial yarn (from shops) and the two brown boxes closest to the camera are full of my hand-dyed yarn and undyed yarn waiting to the dyed. I don’t think I’ll be dyeing any yarn for a few weeks.
It’s kind of scary to see how much I have – and yes, I know there are many people who have a far bigger stash than I do.
I think I’ll have a destash sale soon. Stay tuned.
Optimal stash is such a relative thing, one person’s tiny stash is another person’s overwhelming stash. Tis all about what you’re comfortable with I reckon.
Moving can be really daunting, just because it makes you face how much stuff you have! I hope your move to Ballan goes smoothly.
There are 11 40L (min!) tubs of yarn IN STORAGE that i own. how much of a travesty is that! there are two bags of yarn at my mum’s that can be posted to me now i’m in the UK.
But i love my stash and the only reason i feel guilty about it is cos i can’t get to it at the moment!
The travesty is that they are in storage and you can’t visit them. (Or add to them).
