Three More

03/01/2012 · In: My knitting

Three more UFOs are off the list. This is pretty impressive – well, I’m impressed.

It means of the sixteen UFOs I started out with on 4 December 2011, there are only three left to do. It feels great to be getting them finished or frogged and I’ve actually enjoyed the process.

So the latest victims looked like this when you saw them last:

And this is how they look now.

I frogged the shawl and the would-be cushion. They just weren’t the right yarns for the job and I knew that I wouldn’t like them even if they were finished. I did finish the scarf though.

The scarf is my free  Flip Unisex Reversible Scarf pattern. If you click the link you’ll see the pattern page on Ravelry.

I actually included the half-finished version of this scarf in one of the photos for the pattern images. How’s that for lazy? I didn’t even finish it for the pictures!

This one had been sitting around in my UFO basket since August 2010! It uses three balls of Morris Quartet 8ply on 4mm needles. I have no idea why I decided to make this – it was probably intended to be a gift for someone who likes purple and pink a lot more than I do.

Only three more to go. Back into the UFO basket to select my next victim.

Good on you for having the gumption to rip. It always feels good to get the WIPs down. I ripped Bonyard a while back and am redying the yarn. Your scarf looks fabulous. I had a peek at your patterns on Ravelry…..You are a talented woman!

Ripping is like giving away the jeans that you were keeping because you’ll “get back into them one day”. You put it off forever because it feels like failure but once its done its so freeing.

Nice job. I agree re jeans and frogging- it hurts initially but ultimately feels great.

    Almost done!

Awesome job pairing down your UFOs! You certainly are an inspiration : )

I stumbled across your blog through Ravelry, I really don’t think your pictures are bad at all! They are way nicer than most, seriously.

Thanks – I was worried my pictures were really bad!
