Welcome to the Little Yellow Cat

26/04/2011 · In: My knitting

Hello again to everyone who followed me on beautifulstring.com. Thank you for following me here and for putting up with the lack of activity on the old site while I got this one up and running.

Little Yellow Cat is named after my, well, my little yellow cat. His name is Cobey (Coburg when he’s in trouble) and he is naturally underwhelmed by having a website named after him.

I actually had several names as possibilities going through my head for a while, but Little Yellow Cat won because it’s easy to remember, easy to spell and had meaning for me.

Now I’ve settled into my new online home I’ll be posting regularly again. I finally bought that new camera I was longing for so now all I have to do is learn what all the buttons do and wait for the sun to come out. It’s very wet and overcast here in Bacchus Marsh today.

I’ve added a few new areas for you to play around in too. There is a place for Tutorials where I’ll add a different technique or tip each month. If you have anything special you’d like to see here, please let me know. If I get enough requests for different topics, I’ll update this section more frequently.

The Extras section is where you can find some non-knitting goodies. Recipes, sewing projects, that sort of thing. I’ll update this section monthly.

And finally Events is where you can find a calendar of up coming yarny and crafty happenings. Obviously I’m in Australia so most of these events will be local for me, but if you have a suggestion for the events calendar, please send me the details – no matter where they are.

I hope you enjoy my new site and blog. I’ve carried over all of the old posts from the old site and I’ll keep it open for a few months.

So have a look around and let me know what you think!
